Join us for Blacon walkabouts

23 May 2019

Residents are being encouraged to join us on our regular neighbourhood walkabouts and help make Blacon an even better place to live.

Taking place all over Blacon, the walkabouts are a great opportunity to let us know about any areas that require action, while getting to know fellow residents and your local Housing Officer.

Walkabouts will be taking place on the following dates:

• 5 June – Welsh Roads; Meet outside Dee Point Primary School at 5.30pm.

• 19 June – Poets Corner; Meet at the corner of Shelley Road and Wordsworth Crescent at 5.30pm.

• 20 June – Australian Roads; Meet outside the old Blacon Library on Western Avenue at 5.30pm.

• 26 June – Cathedral Roads; Meet at the corner of Carlisle Road and Durham Road at 1.30pm.

• 3 July – Stratford/Morton Roads; Meet at the corner of Stratford Road and Morton Road at 5.30pm.

• 4 July – Hatton/Stamford Roads; Meet outside the Parade Enterprise Centre at 5.30pm.

Alison Hodgson, Area Housing Manager, said: “We’re committed to keeping Blacon a place where people are proud to live, and our neighbourhood walkabouts have an important part to play in that.

“These events are a great chance to discuss any concerns or areas that require attention, and we’d encourage as many residents as possible to come along and take part.”
