We are currently looking to recruit a Street Cleaner to cover the Blacon Ward situated in Chester. Your daily tasks include waste removal from the local street bins, litter picking the local streets and the removal of fly tipping. This role will be lone working at times: however you will form part of a 2 person team. A van and tools will be provided with the role alongside training as and when required.
The role of Street Cleaner will include:
Providing an effective cleansing of public spaces ensuring this meets customer and organisational needs
Ensuring accurate daily work records are completed, logging faults and potential maintenance issues using relevant systems
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition reporting faults to ensure a safe living and working environment
Ensuring all supplies and stocks are ordered, maintained and stored appropriately
Maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, providing accurate and timely information on progress and responding positively to complaints
Skills and experiences:
Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Good communication and customer care skills
Previous experience of email and internet communications
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
