Blacon Adventure Playground, Chester
One Full Time position:
£20,188 per annum (rising to £21,250 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)
37.5 hours per week
One Part Time position:
£8,613 per annum (rising to £9,067 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance) pro rata
16 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Play Worker to join our Playground Management team. Your will supervise and engage with the children and young people who visit the Blacon Adventure Playground.
The role of Play Worker will include:
•Supporting the provision of safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities and educational programmes
•Developing and maintaining effective relationships with children, young people and their parents/carers
•Assisting in planning a wide range of inclusive activities to meet the needs of groups
•Promoting and supporting the safeguarding of children and young people observing the relevant policies
Skills and experiences:
•Recent experience in a similar role working with children and young people in a play or child care setting
•Working knowledge of Health and Safety together with a practical understanding of safeguarding principles
•Practical understanding of the needs of children and young people with a commitment to the provision of high quality childcare
•An awareness and commitment to equality of opportunity and a positive approach to inclusive practice
