Mobile Caretaker

Parade Enterprise Centre, Chester

£19,990 – £21,042

40 hours per week

We have an opening for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Caretaking/Cleaning team which sits within our Avenue Services team in Chester. The team of 22 is responsible for delivering an estate maintenance and property repair service throughout the Chester area. Working as part of a team of 2 and occasionally alone, daily tasks will consist of cleaning of communal accommodation, waste removal from the local area, litter picking the local streets and the removal of fly tipping. Full training will be provided along with a company van and all the tools required for the role.

The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:

Undertaking caretaking duties including cleaning of communal accommodation, removing bulk waste, litter picking and occasional basic onsite repairs.
Working with customers and partners to identify faults, resolving issues, and improving services.
Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed.
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition.

Skills and experiences:

Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE
British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) is desirable
Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks like cleaning or waste removal
Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Good communication and customer care skills
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
