Gus Cairns reappointed to Avenue Services Board

Avenue Services is delighted to announce that Gus Cairns has been reappointed to its Board as a Community Director.

Based in Blacon, Avenue Services is a joint venture between Sanctuary Group and Cheshire West and Chester Council providing community, environmental, housing, and youth services for the area.

Gus, who is retired, has lived in Blacon for more than 60 years and is actively involved with the community.

He serves as Chair of West Cheshire Autism Hub and Co-chair of West Cheshire Mental Health Partnership, and is also a member of the Blacon Health and Wellbeing Group.

Gus said: “I’m very pleased to be reappointed to the Board. It has been a challenging year for everyone and the work of community organisations like Avenue Services has never been more important.

“I hope 2021 will bring positive change for us all. We have lots to look forward to in Blacon, with innovative projects in store and further improvements to our infrastructure with the new development at the Parade and the exciting plans for the King George V Sports Hub.”
