Free junior youth club sessions on offer in Blacon

Free junior youth club sessions for children aged 8-13 are on offer in Blacon.

The sessions, delivered by Avenue Services, take place at the Delta Centre, in Cairns Crescent, between 3-5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Activities include sports, games and arts and crafts, while drinks and snacks are also on offer.

The youth club was launched in 2019 as part of a significant investment by Avenue Services to provide additional youth services in Blacon. However, sessions were put on hold early last year, due to restrictions on public gatherings during Covid-19.

Chris Leicester, neighbourhood partnerships manager at Avenue Services, said: “We know our junior youth club is highly valued by both young people and parents and guardians alike.

“We’re delighted to be opening the doors again now that restrictions have eased and hope to see some new faces joining us over the coming weeks.”

The youth club is open to any young people aged 8-13 and no booking is required, but anyone attending should be accompanied by a parent, carer or guardian.
