Blacon Adventure Playground reopens its doors

We’re pleased to announce that Blacon Adventure Playground is now reopen.

We took the decision to temporarily close the playground earlier in the week after discovering an area of subsidence on the main pathway through the site.

The area in question has now been safely fenced off while we investigate further, with the rest of the site open to visitors as usual.

Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to reopen ahead of the Christmas break, and I’d like to thank residents for their patience and understanding while we’ve been closed over the last few days.

“The safety of our visitors remains our top priority and we will continue to conduct daily checks around the area affected, until we can put a long-term repair in place.”
