Blacon Festival

Blacon’s biggest community celebration is almost here.

The 2023 Blacon Festival, organised by local social enterprise Avenue Services, will be taking place at Queen Elizabeth Fields on Blacon Avenue from 1-5pm on Saturday 1 July.

Now in its 26th year, the free event is recognised as Chester’s largest community-led festival and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

This year’s event will have a music festival theme and promises lots of great live entertainment, as well as the usual array of stalls, games and refreshments.

Chester MP Samantha Dixon and the Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Sheila Little, will officially open the festival at 1pm, kicking off a day packed full of fun and entertainment for all ages.

Chris Leicester, Neighbourhood Partnerships Manager at Avenue Services, said: “We’re all set for another fantastic Blacon Festival. This is always a real highlight in the Blacon calendar and we look forward to welcoming our community along for what should be a really special day.”
