Blacon Festival is back again this summer

The biggest community celebration in Blacon is back again for 2025!

Blacon Festival, which is organised by local social enterprise Avenue Services, will be taking place at Queen Elizabeth Fields on Saturday 6 July from 1-5pm.

The free festival is now in its 28th year and is widely recognised as Chester’s biggest community-led celebration, attracting thousands of visitors each year

This year’s theme is ‘Carnival’ with lots of live music, funfair rides, games, dancing and more on offer for visitors, as well as a prize for the best dressed stall.

Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “Blacon Festival is always an important date in our calendar and a great occasion for our whole community to come together and celebrate.

“Preparations are well underway and we’re looking forward to hosting this fantastic event for people of all ages to enjoy.”

Avenue Services, which is a not-for-profit organisation, is a joint venture between Sanctuary and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
