We’ve extended the deadline for applications to our Community Support Fund. The fund provides grants of up to £5,000 to support initiatives and activities that will have a lasting impact for Blacon and the people who live here. We know there are lots of fantastic community projects in Blacon, and to ensure everyone has chance to apply, we’ve extended the closing date until 5pm on Wednesday, 27 March. Individuals, community and resident groups, schools, registered charities, social enterprises and local businesses are all invited to apply. Projects must benefit Blacon and should fit one or more of our priorities for the fund:
  • Building connections and reducing isolation
  • Helping residents better manage their money
  • Increasing skills and employability
  • Growing neighbourhood pride and community safety
  • Sustainable lifestyles and greener living
While we’ll aim to support as many projects as possible, we do have limited funds available and may not be able to fully fund all applications. Further details and application forms are available here. Previous applicants do not need to reapply as we already have your applications and details. For more information, or support with making an application, please call Glen Murphy on 01244 305518, Sandra Hewitt on 01244 305456, or contact us by email.
