Plans for new medical centre and apartments in Blacon submitted

1 May 2019

Developer Sanctuary Homes has submitted plans to build a new medical centre and apartments in Blacon.

The three-storey development would be built next to the existing Parade Enterprise Centre and feature a GP surgery and community health centre on the ground floor.

The proposal also includes 12 one and four two-bedroom apartments above the medical centre, which would be available for affordable rent.

Sanctuary Homes, part of Sanctuary Group, held a public consultation to gather people’s views and comments before submitting the plans.

Sanctuary’s Senior Development Manager, Danielle Wrigley, said: “We are delighted to submit our planning application for new homes and medical facilities at the Parade in Blacon.

“As well as consulting with residents, we have worked with Blacon Community Forum and local providers to ask people what sort of healthcare facilities they would like offered at the building. These conversations will continue over the coming months.”

August 2019 – The planning application has now been approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The Parade Enterprise Centre is run by Avenue Services, a joint venture between Sanctuary Group and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
